The adobe of clouds

Suvbharat Times, 16/12- Meghalaya is the most beautiful state of India. This is the land of Khasis, Jaintias and Garo tribal, who have still preserved their unique heritage and culture. The pristine beauty, salubrious climate and unique vegetation of Meghalaya makes it a paradise for nature lovers and botanists, and it’s literally meaning is ‘the adobe of clouds’. Shillong is the capital of Meghalaya.
This is perched at an attitude of 1496 meters and is one of the finest hill resorts of India, and is a hill station in the northeastern part of India. This Virtual fairy land of lush rolling hills reminiscent of the Scottish moors receives plentiful rain. Its innumerable streams meandering through the hilly tracts, cascading waterfalls and placid lakes are a sight to behold. Bara Bazaar is the oldest and most important market of Meghalaya.
This Bazaar is mainly run by women, providing an insight into the State’s tribal culture. The State museum lies within the premises of the State central library and has a fine collection of artefacts of Meghalaya and other North Eastern States. The scenic beauty of the region is enhanced by a number of gushing waterfalls. The term diva was coined for Rekha

Suvbharat Times, 14/12-   She was the winner of three Filmfare Awards. In 1980 and 1988 she rewarded as the Best Actress for 'Khubsoorat ' and 'Khoon Bhari Maang' . She was rewarded as the Best Supporting Award for 'Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi' in 1996. The film 'Umrao Jaan ' of 1981 won her the National Film Award for Best Actress. She was honoured with the Padma Shri by the Government of India in 2010. According to the critic, from the giggling village belle in  'Saawan Bhadon ' to one of country's reigning actresses, Rekha has come a long way. Omar Qureshi said, the term diva (in India) was coined for Rekha. The director of 'Kama Sutra' likens her to a Jamini Roy painting and said, ‘like Marilyn Monroe is shorthand for sex, Rekha is shorthand for charisma’. Historical Judgement on Ayodhya land dispute

Suvbharat Times, 9/11- The apex court, in a unanimous verdict, gave the ownership of the disputed 2.77-acre land in Ayodhya to the Ram Janmabhoomi trust. It ordered that an alternative piece of land in a "suitable" and "prominent" place in Ayodhya should be given to the Muslims to build a mosque. The Court also asked the government to frame a plan within three months and set up a trust, which would construct a temple in Ayodhya. The five-judge Constitution Bench, led by Chief Justice of India (CJI) Ranjan Gogei, started day-to-day hearing on the matter from August 6, 2019, and midway through the proceedings, directed the advocates to finish the argument by October 16. Later the Supreme Court concluded hearings in the Ram Janmabhoomi -Babri Masjid land dispute in Ayodhya and reserved its judgment. It was passed on November 9, 2019 > Srisai Creation, Bhubaneswar
